High-density-interconnect and high-layer-count PCBs are the boards that AI accelerators, memory and networking silicon all mount onto. Layer count and trace density have both climbed sharply as AI server designs pack more silicon into less board space. It's a quieter part of the chain than the chips themselves, but lead times here have repeatedly been a real gating factor on AI server shipments.
